Recently, I attended a workshop organised by PPAS, Pustaka Raja Tun Uda, MMBY and Unisel. It was a quick sharing of the workshop with limited seats with two experienced facilitators: Nor Azhar Ishak (NAI) and Lim Lay Koon.

Overall it was packed and alot of sharing vs practical work – everyone has so much to share and we were injected with knowledge and stories of experiences. Lay Koon led the practical session and it was short and quick.
There was a surprise guests, Prof Dr Bustam Kamri, who specialised in Early Childhood Education. When provided the stage, he shared with us his favourite books, and why kids love these books. I must say, it is easy to write or draw cute stuff… but to attract a child to continue reading and turning the pages: that’s the magic. You can watch Prof’s sharing on his Tiktok.
PS: Prof does like orange a lot.

Pressed for time, I tried my best to come up with something… and I realised… maybe I do work well under-pressure (sometimes?). Also, like many workshops, there were quite a number of breaks. We were all well-fed and our tummies are happy.
Here is the group photo, and also what I created during the workshop.

This illustration is created for a story I had in mind about catching guppies during the flood season–a childhood memory I had.
