Post-KLIF 2024

It was a rollercoaster ride for me prior to this event!

I was away in Sabah for a week, and on the day of my flight back to KL (1st May), it was announced that all flights ✈ were cancelled for the day due to the volcanic eruption of Mount Ruang in Indonesia. Imagine the panic and stress I experienced hearing that announcement. My husband was worried as well, as we had KLIF to prep for (yeah, last minute prep and checking inventory stock), and we weren’t sure if there were any more flights the next day. I was almost defeated , already accepting the worse case scenario of being absent on the first day of the event (well, mental preparation is important for any mishap…haha…).

Luckily, we managed to get on a plane the following evening (already lost more than 24 hours of prep time), and also thank you to my sister Melissa for receiving all the new inventory goods on my behalf during my absence. I was sending all the parcels to her office during the week I was in Sabah. Managed to get most of the stuff sorted in the quickest and efficient way, I had to let go some of my planning due to time constrain.

Rainbows and Sunshine, the book-zine that I soft-launched the day

During KLIF, I met a lot of amazing individuals who are creatives themselves visiting the event, chatted with individuals who have experience with an autistic person, educators and teachers who shared about parenting and teaching children (one even commented that I should do something in Bahasa Malaysia. Maybe I should ), surprise visits from old friends (and lecturers from my college!), care pack gifts from amazing talents and artists I met throughout boothing in ACG events, KLSN members who dropped by (especially Paw, who is very supportive and loving) and many more others!

If you did not attend this year, don’t worry, there will be next year!

Here is a happy (relief) photo of me on the final day:
